This online course has been created as a project of the "Computer Assisted Language Learning" Course of the university of Groningen, taught by dr.S. (sake) Jager during the academic year 2015-2016.
My name is Kaouris Panagiotis and I am a research master student in linguistics, with background in Classics and Education. I am enthusiastic about language learning and I firmly believe that studying ancient languages is remarkably beneficial. When you are learning a foreign language, you obtain a new perspective which helps you immerse yourself in that culture, likewise when you study an ancient one, you are taking a trip to the past, which a history book could never offer.
This course is open and completely free to every person interested in learning the basics regarding the Ancient Greek Language. It should take less than 350 minutes to finish and by its completion you should have obtained the following skills/knowledge: reading the Alphabet, common words, basic grammar & syntax, pronunciation rules & basic translation skills.
You can either follow the course normally or if you are interested solely in a specific part, jump right to it.
You are free to use the content only for non-commercial reasons.
